About the rope
Lightweight and strong alternative to steel wire rope
ACERA AM is a modern 12-strand rope made of premium HMPE fiber, which undergoes an individual yarn coating process (360° lick-roller). Thanks to this, it achieves exceptional resistance to both external and internal abrasion and a long service life even in demanding port and deck applications.
At comparable strength, the rope weighs up to 7 times less than a steel wire rope — this means easier handling for the crew, lower fuel consumption during mooring operations, and a significantly lower risk of snap-back in case of a break. The construction with 6 left and 6 right strands is well balanced and the rope does not twist under load.
